This video explains why we prefer to shoot entire days, and in fact we don’t charge extra for overtime or early starts. As the editor, I figure it’s best to get everything rather than worry about the clock and regret missing something.

Our business model was stretched to the limits with JT shooting the boys at 7AM in Brantford, while I was in Burlington with the girls.

We travelled to Liuna Park on the shore of Lake Ontario near Grimsby for the beautiful ceremony, then Mississauga for a touching service at the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple, and finally Richmond Hill for the reception.

Watch for some great dance moves!

I know Anna and Alex may have tired of my unending enthusiasm with shooting at the Old Mill this summer. Not only was I married there 16 years ago, but the rain-date alternate room was in fact the same Westminster Room where we had our reception. The rain did in fact fall on the steamy-hot day, and quickly the guests and vendors were shuttled from the Garden to the Ballroom.

Everyone’s spirits were high including the bride and groom, and they had a secret to reveal to us all. It seems Alex and Anna are enthusiastic about playing a game or two of pinball, and as the festivities went on I found them in the corner making their own private party with a very cool Shrek 3 machine.

Thanks to Stacey and Juan at Azure Blue Photography for being flexible with the less-than-ideal weather conditions.

Check out this detailed post from Wedding Bells journalist Paula Cilia, featuring Blush’s very own Julia + Steven’s beautiful May 2010 wedding.

I have to admit I was shocked and very proud to read that one of their most memorable moments (and there were many) was the screening of their Same Day Edit.

I’m so happy for them, and proud of the job the Blush team put into making our first SDE a success. Thanks to Joseph+Jaime Photography for the excellent photos.
